Faronics surprised attendees of Novell BrainShare 2008 by announcing at the show the release of the highly-anticipated Deep Freeze Snap-in for Novell ConsoleOne. The Deep Freeze Snap-in for Novell ConsoleOne enables administrators to Freeze or Thaw a protected machine, as well as update the Deep Freeze configuration file. They can also install, uninstall, or update Deep Freeze on the local machine, and view the workstation’s protection status in real-time. All Deep Freeze tasks can be created and executed immediately or scheduled for a future date. The Deep Freeze Snap-in for Novell ConsoleOne supports workstations running Windows 98, 2000, and XP that have Deep Freeze 6.3 installed.
