Deploy separates the OS, driver groups, install settings and application layers enabling mix and match of a Golden OS Image with driver groups for different hardware types
Easy to use
The intuitive Deployment Package wizard lets you create combinations of OS, Driver Groups and Install settings and makes deployment of packages a single-click operation
Multiple Deploy Imaging servers can be set up with portable packages. The built-in queuing functionality enables you to push out images based on how much bandwidth availability.
Use Deploy Imaging Server with your existing WDS setup. Don’t have WDS? Simply install it on any Windows computer (Windows 8 and up), eliminating the need for a Windows Server or WDS setup.
Complements existing systems
Compatible with existing WDS infrastructure, the Deploy Imaging Server can pull existing setups from your server including driver packages, and lets you push images using the WDS setup as well.
How it works
Faronics Deploy uses an Imaging Server that requires a one-time setup on any Windows computer, Server OS not required. Using this as a synced repository and relay, imaging tasks can be pushed to computers in the same network as the imaging server through the Deploy Cloud Console. Once the Deployment Packages have been set up, deployment is a one-click operation.
The Deploy Imaging Server (DIS) can be installed on any Windows computer.
You’ll need to use Windows Server to use the WDS mode.
Images can be added to the Deploy Imaging Server in a few simple steps.
An image can also be captured from a live computer for deployment to other targets
The Driver layers are maintained as groups which can be then be deployed on varied hardware
Keeping the driver groups separate allows for one image to be used on any hardware
Adding drivers is a simple drag-and-drop process on the Deploy Imaging Server
In WDS mode, Deploy Imaging applies the relevant drivers from your existing setup. No upload is required.
Drivers can also be captured from a computer as part of the image creation process
Deploy enables customization of the deployment package by providing settings for every installation
These can be stored as install setting presets, and contain options for Regional and OOBE settings
Multiple Disk partitions can also be created along with options to format or just wipe the drive
Domain and Local user settings allow for multi-user setups
Golden Image setup - One OS image for all your hardware
Faronics Deploy enables single image management of Windows on different hardware. With images broken up into OS, Driver and Install Settings, one Windows image can be deployed to a variety of hardware and to different departments across domains. Deploy makes it extremely easy to deploy all required applications in one click with Application Presets. Missing Windows Updates are discovered instantly and can be updated across multiple computers in one go. Since all these layers are managed independently from each other, Deploy makes for flexible management of every aspect of your implementation.
One-Click lab refresh
By putting the management of OS deployment in the cloud, Deploy makes refreshing labs an easy process. Since the Deploy Imaging Server sits in the local network, pushing images to computers in the lab is fast and efficient. The intuitive user interface makes it possible for non-IT users to image machines as well. Deploy allows for unlimited deployment of images to your environment and makes a daily OS refresh of labs possible with just a few clicks.
Mass OS Deployment
With no restriction on the number of Imaging Servers that can be set up, Deploy enables mass deployment of Operating Systems in your environment. The Deploy Imaging Server does not necessarily need a Windows Server OS variant to work, which makes it extremely cost efficient. There is also no limit to the number of OS image packages that can be set up and deployed to your computers. The unlimited nature of features provided by Deploy makes it uniquely suited for networks with requirements for repetitive mass OS deployments.
