Sorry girls, your dreams have not come true. There is no footage of your beloved Bieber and his girlfriend Selena Gomez doing whatever it is they do in a bedroom. It’s nothing more than the latest Facebook scam. Don’t click!
I can see how millions of diehard Bieber fans across the world would be tempted. The message appears as either “00ps!!! There was a hidden camera in Selena & bieber’s bedroom” or “Oops!!! There was a hidden camera in Selena & bieber’s bedroom”. What teenage girl wouldn’t click that?
I would hope at least the version with 00’s replacing oo’s would be a dead giveaway. Numbers replacing letters is great for strong passwords, but not for titles of videos. Regardless, the subject itself should read as pretty farfetched anyways. To a fan in love with the Biebs however, this sounds like the moment they’ve been waiting for. Hackers sure hope so too.
There’s nothing out of the ordinary about this scam. Like most others it simply uses some form of temptation to kick start your journey through all of the standard hoops. Click the link, get taken to a fake webpage, answer a survey, share (the scam) with all of your friends, get disappointed, feel foolish, oops.
If by chance you (or someone you know) has fallen for this, remove it from your wall, unlike pages and remove permissions for any related app to access your profile info. Then go listen to some Bieber songs to make yourself feel better.
