Faronics, makers of the computer energy waste-reducing software Power Save, is proud to announce that it has become an Associate member of the Climate Savers Computing Initiative. As a member of the Initiative, Faronics joins the ranks of other green organizations such as Dell, EDS, Google, HP, Intel, Lenovo, Microsoft, PG&E, and the World Wildlife Fund in helping to reduce the climate change effects of computers. The goal of the Climate Savers Computing Initiative is to promote development, deployment and adoption of smart technologies that can both improve the efficiency of a computer’s power delivery and reduce the energy consumed when the computer is in an inactive state.
