VANCOUVER, BC, October 17, 2006 — Faronics is proud to be recognized as a finalist for the 2006 BC Export Award. For 24 years, these awards have acknowledged the unique approaches and contributions of British Columbia export companies across a variety of sectors and all regions of the province. The awards are open to all BC companies that have been exporting a product or service for two or more years.
Faronics is a finalist in the category of New Exporter.

“These BC businesses are a testament to the quality of products and services our exporters bring to the rest of the world.” said Colin Hansen, Minister of Economic Development. “Their successes bring new wealth and employment to our province, while encouraging other British Columbians to enter exporting and generate new and exciting business opportunities internationally.”

“Faronics would like to recognize our 25 international partners who have contributed immensely to our products being used worldwide,” said Farid Ali, Faronics’ CEO. “Being named as a finalist is a reward to our partners and employees who have strived hard to make Faronics a global brand. We expect further growth in the international markets with the localization of our products in Spanish, French, German, and Japanese.”

Winners from each of the eight categories along with a single Exporter of the Year winner will be announced at the 2006 BC Export Awards Gala on Friday, November 10, at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Vancouver.

The 2006 BC Export Awards are co-hosted by Canadian Manufactures & Exporters and the Ministry of Economic Development. Presented annually, the Export Awards are open to all B.C. registered companies that have exported a product or service for two or more years.
