New release of Faronics Insight includes support for new OS and additional features for Educators and IT
VANCOUVER, B.C. and SAN RAMON, Calif. January 30, 2012 –Faronics announced today the availability of the latest release of it’s leading classroom management solution, Faronics Insight 7.72.
Building on the success of Faronics Insight 7.7 and the Tech Console which featured remote support, network management and control of Faronics Deep Freeze, the latest release includes several key features:
- Support for Windows 8 – Faronics Insight allows you to automatically disable the metro interface on the desktop and supports web limiting in Internet Explorer 10 (comes with Windows 8)
- Ubuntu Linux 12 and 64-bit support for student devices
- Group Chat – Allows Educators to teach using collaborative methods but opening a chat window with several students at once.
- iOS App Enhancements – this includes:Â iPhone 5 Â for student devices, a Universal iOS Agent for Student Apps, testing support for iPhone students, iOS Class list support and Insight Connection Server for iOS Student apps.
