This release introduces an industry-first to classroom computer management—the ability to use a teacher console to manage both Windows and Mac OS X based student computers at the same time.

Faronics Insight empowers instructors with total control over classroom computers and student attention. Instructors are able to educate, assist, monitor, and  communicate with students from a central computer. For example, instructors can easily monitor student computers, blank student screens, remote into student workstations, mute sound, and limit access to the Internet and desktop applications. When classroom collaboration is required, instructors can share their screen with students, or with the instructor’s supervision, let students share their screen with other students. Communication efficiency is also improved with the ability to send and collect files, ask questions, and broadcast messages.
