Faronics, a global leader in PC power management software, today announced the release of Power Save 4.3. This latest version of the PC energy and cost reducing software now allows users to automatically wake-up their computers at a scheduled time. Also included in this release are several new reports.
Technology in the workplace has advanced significantly to accommodate employees working odd hours, or remotely connecting to their PCs. To ensure these users have access to their computers when necessary, IT Administrators using Power Save are now able to empower their users to schedule their workstations to wake-up at the desired time. The computer will automatically wake out of Standby or Hibernate and be available at the scheduled time. The user can also defer any further power management for an authorized period of time. A network connection is not required to wake-up the computer as the scheduled wake-up is stored locally on the machine.
