Neue Funktionen

  • Automatische Vergrößerung von ThawSpaces
    Sie können ThawSpaces so einrichten, dass sie automatisch bis auf eine bestimmte Maximalgröße anwachsen, wenn sie zu 75 % voll sind.
  • Über mehrere Neustarts hinweg im Zustand „Thawed“ hochfahren
    Über die Enterprise Console können Sie einrichten, wie häufig ein Rechner im Zustand „Thawed“ neu gestartet werden soll. Als Aktionen stehen die Optionen „Im Zustand „Thawed“ neu starten“ und „Im Zustand „Thawed und gesperrt“ neu starten“ zur Verfügung.
  • Terminierte Aufgabe anhalten
    Sie können terminierte Aufgaben über die Enterprise Console anhalten oder fortsetzen. Klicken Sie mit der rechten Maustaste auf die terminierte Aufgabe, um diese anzuhalten oder fortzusetzen.
  • Installation aller Windows Updates
    Zusätzlich zu Sicherheits-Updates, kritischen Updates und Funktionsupdates können Sie auswählen, dass alle Arten von Updates installiert werden sollen, wenn Windows Updates von Microsoft (vs. WSUS) heruntergeladen werden.
  • Ausführung von Batch-, VB-, und PowerShell-Skripts
    Zusätzlich zu den Dateitypen .exe und .msi können Sie jetzt auch die Dateitypen .cmd, .bat, .vbs und .ps1 über die Aktionen „Remote-Ausführung“ und „Pushen und starten“ der Enterprise Console ausführen.
  • Angabe von URL oder FTP für Remote-Ausführung
    Anstatt für die Remote-Ausführung einen bestehenden Dateipfad anzugeben, haben Sie nun auch die Option, eine Web-URL oder einen FTP-Speicherort anzugeben. Die Datei wird automatisch vom angegebenen Speicherort heruntergeladen und auf dem Arbeitsplatz ausgeführt.
  • Verbesserungen am Konsolenprotokoll
    Sie können feststellen, wie sich der Deep Freeze-Status verändert hat. Beispiel: Sie können feststellen, ob Deep Freeze über die Konsole, lokal über den Client oder über die Befehlszeile in den Zustand „Thawed“ versetzt wurde.
  • Einrichtung eines Standardspeicherorts für Installationsprogramme
    Die Enterprise Console kann sich jetzt merken, wo Sie neu erstellte Arbeitsplatzinstallationsprogramme und Konfigurationsdateien speichern möchten. Sie können den Standardspeicherort im Zuge der Speicherung der Datei festlegen.
  • Ende der Unterstützung für Windows Server 2003
    Um sicherzustellen, dass Deep Freeze auch weiterhin von den neuesten Technologien profitiert, stellt Faronics mit dieser Version von Deep Freeze offiziell die Unterstützung für XP und Server 2003 ein. Microsoft hatte die Unterstützung für Windows XP offiziell am 8. April 2014 bzw. für Server 2003 am 14. Juli 2015 eingestellt.

Neue Verbesserungen

  • Windows Server: Laufwerksbuchstabe für Windows Update-Cache
    Problem in Deep Freeze mit Windows Update-Caching für Windows 10 behoben, indem ein Laufwerksbuchstabe für den Cache-Ordner zugewiesen wurde. Beim Upgrade eines Deep Freeze-Arbeitsplatzes wird dem Cache-Ordner automatisch der Laufwerksbuchstabe B:\ zugewiesen. Dies kann in der Deep Freeze-Konfiguration aktualisiert werden. Der für das Caching verwendete Laufwerksbuchstabe wird in Windows Explorer ausgeblendet.
  • Windows Server: Unterstützung für Funktionsupdates
    Die Windows Update-Aufgabe unterstützt jetzt die Installation von Funktionsupdates, so dass Kunden problemlos Upgrades durchführen können, beispielsweise von Build 1709 auf 1809. Deep Freeze respektiert die erweiterten Windows Update-Optionen, die diese Updates zurückstellen können.
  • Verbesserungen an der Wiederherstellung
    Verbesserungen am Deep Freeze Wartungs-Wiederherstellungsprozess, wenn Windows-Updates nicht korrekt markiert sind. Hierdurch verringert sich sowohl die Anzahl als auch die Dauer der erforderlichen Neustarts im Zustand „Thawed“, um den Computer wieder in den Zustand „Frozen“ zu versetzen.
  • Systemlaufwerk aus Deep Freeze-Schutz ausschließen
    Kunden können nun optional ein Systemlaufwerk konfigurieren, das im Zustand „Thawed“ bleibt.
  • Volle Unterstützung für NVMe-Laufwerke
    Deep Freeze ist jetzt mit NVMe-Laufwerken kompatibel, die Advanced Format (4K)-Technologie verwenden (dies ist häufig bei modernen Mac-Computern der Fall).
  • Unterstützung für iSCSI-Laufwerke

Neue Funktionen

  • Hinzufügen von Auftauplätzen ohne Verzögerung
    Für das Hinzufügen eines neuen Auftauplatzes ist keine neuerliche Installation von Deep Freeze mehr erforderlich – Auftauplätze können jederzeit konfiguriert werden und werden beim nächsten Neustart im Zustand „aufgetaut“ hinzugefügt.
  • Auftauplätze löschen
    Neue Aktion „Auftauplatz löschen“ in Symbolleiste der Konsole (zusätzlich zu „Auftauplatz formatieren“) Zudem wurde ein neuer DFC-Switch/DELETETHAWSPACE hinzugefügt.
  • Auftau-Warnmeldungen
    Sie können jetzt festlegen, nach welcher Zeit ein Arbeitsplatz im Zustand „aufgetaut“ rot angezeigt wird. Eine neue Spalte „Aufgetaut seit“ ist jetzt verfügbar und zeigt an, wie lange sich ein Arbeitsplatz bereits im Zustand „aufgetaut“ befindet.
  • Scheduler-Kombinationsaufgabe
    Administratoren verknüpfen häufig Konsolenaufgaben, beispielsweise (1) Wake-on-LAN, (2) Nachricht senden, (3) Windows Update ausführen, (4) Herunterfahren. Über die neue Kombinationsaufgabe können Sie eine einzige Scheduler-Aufgabe erstellen, um bis zu 5 Scheduler-Aufgaben zu verknüpfen, sodass Sie nicht mehrere Aufgaben ändern müssen, wenn etwas Unerwartetes eintritt.
  • Client-Update und weitere Scheduler-Aufgaben
    Administratoren können jetzt einstellen, dass für Deep Freeze-Clients ein Upgrade durchgeführt wird, sobald eine neue Version verfügbar ist. Um die Flexibilität von Administratoren zu erhöhen, wurden zusätzliche Aufgaben zum Konsolen-Scheduler hinzugefügt, darunter „Auftauplatz formatieren“, „Pushen und ausführen“ und „Remote-Ausführung“.
  • Windows-Ereignisprotokolle beibehalten
    Sie können Windows-Ereignisprotokolle nun einfach beibehalten, indem Sie ein neues Markierungsfeld auf der Registerkarte „Erweitert“ aktivieren. Deep Freeze weist 100 MB zu, um Anwendungs-, System-, Sicherheits- und Hardware-Ereignisprotokolle zu speichern.
  • Lokale Aktivierung versuchen
    Automatisch versuchen, einen Arbeitsplatz vor einer terminierten Arbeitsplatzaufgabe lokal aus dem Standby-Modus zu aktivieren. Hierfür wurde ein neues Markierungsfeld „Lokale Aktivierung versuchen“ zu den Arbeitsplatzaufgaben hinzugefügt. Erfordert kompatible Hardware für Aktivierung aus dem Standby-Modus
  • Verbesserung der Aufgabe „Inaktivität“
    Deep Freeze ist nun in der Lage, einen inaktiven Computer herunterzufahren, ohne auf die erste Tastatur- und Mausaktivität zu warten – anderenfalls könnte der Computer den ganzen Tag lang eingeschaltet bleiben. Eine erste Tastatur- und Mausaktivität ist für den Neustart bei Inaktivität erforderlich, um zu verhindern, dass der Computer ständig neu gestartet wird, wenn keine Aktivität vorliegt.
  • Verbesserung des Konfigurationsablaufs
    Sie brauchen der Deep Freeze-Konfiguration keinen Namen mehr zu geben, nachdem Sie auf OK geklickt haben. Geben Sie den Konfigurationsnamen einfach am unteren Rand der Benutzeroberfläche an. Administratoren erhalten zudem eine Option, die Konfiguration als Installationsprogramm oder Seed zu exportieren, sodass erstmalige Benutzer durch die nächsten Schritte nicht verwirrt werden.
  • Neue Spalten in der Konsole
    Zusätzlich zur Spalte „Aufgetaut seit“ haben wir auch eine Spalte „Freier Auftauplatz“ hinzugefügt, die die verfügbaren Auftauplätze zeigt und angibt, wie viel Speicherplatz verfügbar ist. In der Spalte für das Betriebssystem wird jetzt auch die Build-Nummer des Betriebssystems angezeigt.
  • Texteingaben speichern
    Die Enterprise-Konsole zeigt jetzt die letzten zehn Eingaben für „Nachricht senden“, „Pushen und starten“ und „Remote-Ausführung“ an, sodass Administratoren nicht immer wieder dieselben Nachrichten oder Befehle eingeben müssen.
  • Upgrade-Benachrichtigung
    Ab Version 8.5 erhalten Sie eine Benachrichtigung in der Konsole, wenn eine neue Version von Deep Freeze verfügbar ist. Prüfen Sie die Versionshinweise, laden Sie das neueste Installationsprogramm herunter und führen Sie ein automatisches Upgrade Ihrer Konsole durch.

  • Vergrößerung des Windows Update-Cache-Speichers
    Der Windows Update-Cache-Speicher wird nun automatisch auf 10 GB vergrößert, ohne dass eine Neuinstallation erforderlich ist.
  • Einstellung von Konsolen-Support
