Campus Security: There’s An App For That

With the recent Penn State sexual assault case, campus security is in the back of everyone’s mind.

Security apps are growing, particularly on school campuses, where an increasing number of students are carrying mobile devices wherever they go.

MyForce is an application that you can download onto your smartphone that acts as a personal security device. With a push of a button, you can send an alert that will reach emergency personnel, who are able to track your location through your phone.

Many students throughout Canada and the U.S. have used MyForce to educate their peers about campus safety.

It’s not just for students though; everyone needs to be protected. Whether you have a child living on campus, or a family member or friend who likes to jog alone with their earphones in, you want to know that your loved ones are safe when they aren’t with you.
